Class Teams Creation and Archiving for 23-24

Attention FUSD teachers!!!

It’s that time of year again! Last year’s Class Teams will be archived and new Class Teams will be generated and rostered for all class sections in ATLAS. This process will begin on August 7 and all new Class Teams should be in place by August 10.

The document linked below provides important information regarding how and when Class Teams are created, archived, and eventually deleted. It is critical for all teachers to be aware of this process, so that, if desired, they can back up their content or even preserve their Class Teams.

New Class Teams Updates

More great updates to Microsoft Class Teams – Yeah! These new updates include a new Insights layout, Reading Progress phonics assignments, and a ton of updates to the Reflect app, including check-in ideas, simplified emotions, read aloud, breathing exercises, and more.

New Home Page and Reflect App in Class Teams

If you are using Microsoft Class Teams, you will want to hear this. There have been two major additions to the Class Team – Home Page and Reflect. The new Home Page link can be found just under your class name and it provides a web page that you can edit freely to provide information and resources to your students.

New Reading Progress Support Page

Great news! We now have a support page dedicated to Reading Progress tutorials and resources. Reading Progress is a feature that is integrated into Class Teams assignments and provides an opportunity for students to practice and refine their reading fluency. Teachers can leverage Reading Progress to track students reading fluency and accuracy over time in support of student growth, goals and social emotional needs. Reading Progress is appropriate for Early Learners, English Learners, or any student looking to improve their reading fluency.
