If you are using Microsoft Class Teams, you will want to hear this. There have been two major additions to the Class Team – Home Page and Reflect. The new Home Page link can be found just under your class name and it provides a web page that you can edit freely to provide information and resources to your students.

Reading Progress Results

Great news! We now have a support page dedicated to Reading Progress tutorials and resources. Reading Progress is a feature that is integrated into Class Teams assignments and provides an opportunity for students to practice and refine their reading fluency. Teachers can leverage Reading Progress to track students reading fluency and accuracy over time in support of student growth, goals and social emotional needs. Reading Progress is appropriate for Early Learners, English Learners, or any student looking to improve their reading fluency.

Reading Progress is a new feature in the Microsoft Class Teams Assignment builder that is designed to help students build confidence and reading fluency through personalized reading experiences. 

Teachers can leverage Reading Progress to connect with students on an individual level, analyze their performance, and identify opportunities for differentiated instruction. A reading passage can be added to a Teams Assignment whereby students then record themselves reading, capturing both audio and video. Then, Microsoft’s AI will analyze the reading fluency and provide instant data insights, that visualize class and individual performance and growth.

The Reflect app is a feature that is now built into Microsoft Class Teams. Reflect is a digital tool that provides opportunities to check-in with students on a personal, academic or social/emotional level. As an owner of a Class Team, teachers’ have the ability to create a Reflect activity in the Posts area of any Team Channel. Students can then respond to the activity through emojis and vocabulary words that help define their emotions.
