Microsoft’s Speaker Coach is a feature within Microsoft PowerPoint that provides users with real-time feedback on their oral presentations. The tool uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze the speaker’s tone of voice, pacing, and language, and provides suggestions for improvement to help the speaker deliver a more effective and engaging presentation.

Speaker Coach can detect when a speaker is talking too quickly, using filler words such as “um” and “ah,” or using monotone speech. It can also provide feedback on the speaker’s use of inclusive language and the overall reading level of the presentation.

The Speaker Coach feature is available in the web version of PowerPoint, as well as in the PowerPoint mobile app for iOS and Android.

I tried this myself and I’m sure you will agree that this as a great tool for both students and staff to improve their oral presentation skills. Wondering how it works? I thought you might, so I was able to summon the EdTech Evangelist and have him create a quick tutorial.
