stream 2.0
Published on November 4, 2022 by Brian Dvorak

Microsoft Stream is the YouTube of our organization. We can upload videos onto Stream and share them with colleagues, students, or the whole organization. We also appreciate the ability to create screen recordings right on the Stream website. It’s been a great ride and it will continue, but we wanted to let you know that the interface is changing due to the migration of the Stream videos over to SharePoint. With this move, you will notice that the process of sharing your videos is exactly the same as sharing a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file.

You may not be seeing Stream 2.0 yet, as it is slowly trickling out to all members in our organization. Some of the new changes include a new home page that surfaces suggested videos and frequently accessed videos, with the ability to sort and filter the list. Once you click onto a video, you will notice the new sharing process, comments are now located off to the right, and you can easily move or copy a video to another location/folder. There is a lot more to the new look, so rather than try to explain it all here, we thought it would be best to provide a quick video. You’ll be happy to hear that our very own EdTech Evangelist has created a video overview of Stream 2.0. Check it out below…
