Minecraft CTE City & Virtual CampusMinecraft CTE City and Virtual Campus allow students to explore careers focusing on FUSD's current CTE Pathways. Younger students can explore CTE City to learn about becoming a public servant and understand the jobs related to engineering and heavy truck repair. They will be exposed to roles in the medical field, cybersecurity, computer science, and agriculture. They can even get a sneak peek at the new aviation facility being constructed for FUSD students to attend. In Virtual Campus, students will learn about the specific CTE Pathways at the high school within their region, along with pathways specific to Patino School of Entrepreneurship and Ducan Polytechnical High School. They will meet the teachers and gain an understanding of the careers available to them while completing build challenges and finding hidden easter eggs throughout. We'll dive into both worlds and share how simple it is to integrate these worlds into ELA, Math, and Science curriculum across grade levels. Minecraft CybersecurityHacking is real! We have all experienced email phishing or clickbait. Hackers are getting more and more sophisticated. Students are members of the digital age and understand technology in ways the adult generation lacks. Cybersecurity firms can't hire enough experts to fill open positions. We can change this narrative. By training students in cybersecurity, we are preparing the next generation to be aware of and ready to defend and secure our networks. Minecraft Education Cybersecurity is a fun and engaging way to expose students to skills they will need to survive navigating online safety and security. Garrett is the creative of the two and has designed several Minecraft Education worlds including CTE City, Virtual Campus and Player vs. Player Minecraft Esports worlds. He also served as an inaugural FUSD Minecraft Esports Coach .Julie and Garrett have surfed the high seas and showcased their creations on behalf of Minecraft at ISTE, FETC, and TCEA. They are both on the Minecraft Education Advisory Board and continue to discover new ways to use Minecraft in the classroom to share with educators across the world.
