Do you ever wish you had one-page cheat-sheets for using the various inclusive and accelerator tools within Microsoft 365? Well, guess what? – They exist!!!

That’s right, you can find them on the Microsoft Education website in the resource center. They are called Quick Guides and they were created by Microsoft Innovative Educator, Miss Aird (@miss_aird).

These tools include Reading Progress, Speaker Coach, Immersive Reader, Live Captions, Speech to Text, Reflect, and more. You can download and save/print each quick guide for free, and don’t forget to share them with colleagues 😊.

Over the summer, Microsoft announced the addition of Classwork for all Class Teams. Classwork is a new feature in Class Teams that allows teachers to create and organize class resources, including Assignments, web links, files, OneNote Class Notebook pages, and Teams channels. It’s like building out a module or unit of study that contains multiple resources and student tasks. You could also use it to create a choice board of tasks to personalize the learning. With Classwork, you can curate a view of content and resources that will help your students navigate the tasks and see everything in one place.

Attention FUSD teachers!!!

It’s that time of year again! Last year’s Class Teams will be archived and new Class Teams will be generated and rostered for all class sections in ATLAS. This process will begin on August 7 and all new Class Teams should be in place by August 10.

The document linked below provides important information regarding how and when Class Teams are created, archived, and eventually deleted. It is critical for all teachers to be aware of this process, so that, if desired, they can back up their content or even preserve their Class Teams.

Microsoft has now added avatar functionality to Teams Meetings! Am I referring to the movie, Avatar? Well, not quite. Avatars is a new feature where you craft an animated version of yourself to enable during meetings. Avatars have a ton of customization options, emotions, and reactions you can play with. And, you can create multiple Avatars to use, depending on your mood or the situation. Using an avatar can help boost engagement and be useful when you are unable to turn on your camera.
